Project Details / Design brief

This bright main bathroom introduces an abundance of natural light through large windows.

The client favoured a modern bathroom but knew it was essential to retain a small number of heritage features, to flow with the rest of the house.
The herringbone niche, subway pattern, subtle picture rail and contracting colours retained a touch of the style; while still transforming the bathroom with a modern feel.

The vanity offers plenty of storage space, while the undercounter basin keeps the benchtop free. The bath also integrates a twin rail shower, creating a flexible space for kids and adults.

Project Challenges

  • Retaining the features of the house with a modern design brief
  • Tight timeframe and small budget
  • Like many houses of this age the framework was deteriorated and required significant repair and straightening.
