This Sherwood Queenslander in Brisbane was no exception to the rule of beautiful lines and elegant style, a delight to work on for the Briswest Renovations team. Our client was keen to update the bathroom and laundry which had held their own against the remainder of the home’s renovation, finally succumbing to a new lease of life recently.
Our client was a pleasure to work with, having a strong understanding of what a Queenslander’s style embodies. Working together, all elements were selected with a classic approach, featuring the likes of white shaker style vanities, marble tops and timeless chrome tap and shower ware. The Kado Era tap ware range from Reece Bathrooms was a perfect selection. Keeping the cabinetry white allowed for simple beauty and an enhancing of the light filled spaces. By opting for Smartstone’s Statuario Arabescato stone tops, the soft grey/ blue veining was the perfect introduction to the blue and grey mosaic encaustic look tiles for the floors. The floor tiles allowed an injection of pattern, further enhancing the softness of the remaining space. A white subway tile for the walls was an obvious choice, sitting perfectly with the lines of the VJ’s and trims. The VJ’s were painted in Resene’s Athens Grey, soft and subtle. For the laundry, a butler’s sink and open shelving ensured elegance and style, the cabinetry finished off with the same crystal door knobs used in the bathroom.
When working with a heritage style, the Briswest Renovations team assists our clients in adopting subtle approaches to bringing modernity through a space where desired, such as the wall hung cabinetry with undercount basin and frameless shower screens.
