With a brief of a hotel inspired luxury day spa, you know you are set to create something really special.  To be able to create such a high end inspired bathroom on a reasonable budget was a win for our professional couple in this Brisbane city apartment.

Creating a spa inspired bathroom

When considering luxury day spas, a calm, even-toned palette with luxe finishes was the approach taken to the design and styling of this bathroom.

To enhance the size of the space, large format tiles in neutral tones were used on the floors and walls. We intentionally kept away from traditional bathroom whites, instead emphasising a calm backdrop.  Beautiful handcrafted subway tiles were introduced to the shower and back wall to greet you as you enter the space.  Light coloured grout was used to soften the look.

The semi inset bath, toilet and basin were kept minimal and rounded to bring added calm, the custom cabinetry kept simple without handles to not dominate the space.  The stone top in a neutral tone blends seamlessly with the wall tiles.

By using brushed gold hardware and mirror with rounded edges, a touch of luxury has been spread evenly throughout the space, ensuring the overall tone is not overwhelmed.
