Kitchen, Main Bathroom & Ensuite. Welcome to a marvelous Brisbane kitchen renovation.

Anstead, Western Brisbane

Nestled amidst breathtaking bushland, this Brisbane West kitchen renovation project stands as a testament to the seamless blend of modern design and natural surroundings. Briswest Renovations, your trusted kitchen renovation specialists, had the pleasure of enhancing this beautiful property. Mark and Lisa, the homeowners, welcomed us back after our successful collaboration on their bathroom renovation projects. Together, we embarked on the exciting journey of transforming their kitchen.

The house boasts a striking skillion roof and magnificent lines, complemented by burnt red decking and towering gums. To preserve the property’s elegant lines, our focus was on creating a functional and stylish kitchen that harmonized with the existing architecture. The goal was clear: open up the space, bring in functionality, and enhance the natural beauty that surrounds the property.

We started by reimagining the kitchen layout. The existing space felt imposing, with aging bulkheads and angled pantry and island areas. Mark and Lisa wanted to infuse a sense of openness and efficiency into the kitchen. By creating longer runs and relocating the pantry, we added a feeling of spaciousness. A full-height pantry, adjacent to the fridge, allowed for a seamless flow of cabinetry, stone benchtops, and upper cabinets, enhancing the room’s width.

In terms of design, we opted for Polytec’s “Avion Grey Matt” for the cabinetry, chosen for its subtle depth and ability to blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings. The Caesarstone benchtops in “Primordia” perfectly complemented the grey cabinetry. The combination of concrete base, off-whites, and greys, accented by warm browns and oxidized yellows and greens, created a truly beautiful palette.

To maintain the continuity of linear elegance, we chose muted jade subway tiles stacked vertically, giving the illusion of height while introducing a touch of colour. These tiles echoed the aesthetic of the previously completed bathrooms, creating a cohesive design throughout the home. Long handles adorned the lower cabinets and pantry, adding a touch of sophistication.

To soften and balance the overall look, we incorporated small, beautifully crafted glass “bubble” pendants, adding a touch of warmth and elegance to the kitchen space. The end result is a kitchen that not only meets the homeowners’ functional needs but also enhances the natural beauty of their surroundings.

Kind Words

Pete and his team renovated our two bathrooms in August 2021 and we were so happy with the outcome that we didn’t even consider looking elsewhere when it came to completely redesigning our kitchen the following year. Rebecca’s talent for design and colour choices that complemented the overall style of our home was invaluable and the trade team’s quality workmanship delivered both projects on budget and to a high standard. We are so happy with the results and Pete’s communication and committment to the best outcome at all times.

Our favourite part of the bathroom project  is the much-improved design of two quite small and tricky spaces that now look spacious and calming. What we love most about our new kitchen, besides the hugely-improved design and expanded workspace, are the delightful solid glass bauble  pendants that sparkle like floating bubbles above the kitchen island. A close second is the tiled splashback, meticulously installed by Sandy, of hand-cut jade tiles selected by Rebecca.

Thanks team Briswest Renovations!
